We propagated these vines from cuttings carefully selected from one of Sonoma County's oldest vineyards, planted with cuttings brought over from Europe in the 1800s. It is with great pride that we ovver the result, a full bodied wine with an old world heritage rich in jammy dark berry flavor, layered with black pepper and spice. Blend: 100% Zinfandel from Windsor Oaks Vineyards Brix: 24.0 at harvest Alcohol: 16.3% Acidity: 0.66gm/100ml, pH: 3.75 Primary Fermentation: Hand-harvested in a cool morning pick in two select old clone vineyard blocks. Primary fermentation in one ton macrobins for 12 days, after 3 days cold soak.
