This zinfandel was grown in the rich volcanic soil of our hillside
vineyards of the Chalk Hill district, overlooking the Russian River
Valley frrom the volcanic ridges between Sonoma and Napa counties.
We propagated these vines from cuttings carefully selected from one of
Sonoma County's oldest vineyards, planted with cuttings brought over
from Europe in the 1800s.
It is with great pride that we ovver the result, a full bodied wine
with an old world heritage rich in jammy dark berry flavor, layered
with black pepper and spice.
