2005 Reserve Zinfandel
This zinfandel was grown in the rich volcanic soil of our hillside
vineyards of the Chalk Hill district, overlooking the Russian River
Valley frrom the volcanic ridges between Sonoma and Napa counties.
We propagated these vines from cuttings carefully selected from one of
Sonoma County's oldest vineyards, planted with cuttings brought over
from Europe in the 1800s.
We're proud to share this lucious Zinfandel. It's bursting with bright
cherry and juicy black fruit from our heritage and mountain vineyard
blocks, with smooth layers of black pepper, spices and the silky
finish of French Oak barrel aging. It reflects the world class terroir
of our vineyard, combined with our passion for grape growing and
authentic hand-crafted winemaking.
