2007 Unoaked Chardonnay
At Windsor Oaks' 710 acre estate in the Russian River Valley, we've
spent many years studying its terroir - the unique combination of
soils, slopes, micro-climates and viticulture for world-class grape
growing. For our estate vineyards, we selected the top 256 acres across
60+ sites, where we sustainably grow and hand-harvest ultra-premium
grapes for over 35 boutique and luxury wineries.
Each year we make a small quantity of wine from our top sites. Our
Unoaked chardonnay is made sur-lie with multiple years in stainless
steel at low temperatures, with no malolactic fermentation. This
concentrates bright, lush flavors of fragrant citrus, stone-fruits,
pineapple, green apple and mineral notes. Balanced acidity gives a
clean, long finish to compliment many foods. It truly reflects its
site, a foggy cobblestone vineyard block, and shows our passion for
grape growing and authentic hand-crafted winemaking.
